Project Lifesaver of Vermont & New Hampshire

Project Lifesaver of Vermont & New Hampshire are the Coordinators for Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Eastern New York through the Care Trak of Murphysboro, Illinois. Together we are implementing a tracking system that consists of a small wrist bracelet worn by someone that is at risk of wandering. This bracelet transmits a signal for up to a mile radius, allowing search and rescue efforts to be quicker, finding the individual in minutes instead of hours.
Thousands of searches are organized annually to help locate Alzheimer patients, Autistic and/or Down Syndrome children or sufferers of traumatic brain injuries, whom inadvertently stray of wander away from the protective care of family or even a professional health care facility.

At present, Alzheimer's disease affects nearly 4,000,000 Americans. Recent studies indicate that 46% of Alzheimer patients missing more than 24 hours are found deceased. Tragically, a few have never been found.

Eventually, every State will have a Care Trak system, allowing consumer safety while wearing the bracelet and gives the care giver Peace of Mind.
